Subject : Prayer for financial help.
Sir,
I beg most respectfully to state that my father who is a petty clerk in a private firm is no longer in a position to defray my educational expenses in the face of the continually soaring prices of essential commodities. Unless I am awarded some financial relief in the form of full free studentship / stipend / lump grant / help from the Poor Fund of our college. I shall have no alternative but to discontinue my studies.
In the circumstances, I most fervently pray and hope that you would be kind enough to consider my prayer favourable and do the needful enabling me to go on with my studies. For this act of your compassion, I shall ever remain to pray.
I have the honour to be

Subject : Application for a full-free studentship.
Dear Sir,
I have the honour to draw your kind attention to the fact that I am a very poor student of your reputed college in class XI, Science group. Now, I am not in a position to continue my studies because of my father’s financial hardship. My father is an ill-paid govt. employee. He has to maintain a large family of eight members with his small income. Now, it is quite impossible on his part to bear my educational expenses any more. I will not be able to continue my study unless I am granted some financial grant and my educational expense is made free. I would like to add that I came out second in the first year test-examination with highest marks in four subjects.
I, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to grant me a full-free studentship and thus help me to continue my studies.
