The problem is becoming more and more complicated day by day. There is an acute scarcity of drinking water in the village. You are an inhabitant of that village.

We, the inhabitants of village ‘K’ under ‘S’ thana in the district of Narsingdi, beg most respectfully to approach you with the following fact in the hope that in would receive your kind and sympathetic consideration. Arsenic poisoning has occurred in the tube-wells of our village. As a result, a number of people have been attacked by various diseases. This problem grows severe day by day. Most of the people have been suffering for want of drinking water. Already a few people are attacked with skin disease, cholera, typhoid, dysentery, and influenza. These may break out into epidemic form if proper care is not taken. About one lakh people of this area are passing days in great misery.
In the circumstances, we hope and pray that you would be kind enough to take the necessary steps to remove this problem and save the lives of the destitute.

Dear Sir,
I, on behalf of the people of Taherpur, would like to inform you that our locality has been seriously affected by arsenic. Most of the tubewells have been poisoned by it. As a result, people can’t drink water. Those who are taking water from these sources are being victimised by arsenicosis. Now, the number of arsenic sufferers is increasing and people are showing symptoms of skin diseases causes by arsenic-contaminated water. It is the immense need of time to check up all the tubewells of the locality and mark them ‘red’ or ‘green’ so that people can drink pure water and get rid of the disease.
I, therefore, hope and pray that you would be kind enough to check up all the tubewells of the village to save them from further problems and oblige thereby.
