Nutrient Contents of Vegetables in Bangladesh
The column chart represents the nutrient contents of vegetables in Bangladesh. From the given chart, we see that puishak contains 27 kilo calories of calcium per 100 grams, while lalshak contains 43 kilo calories of calcium per 100 grams. Arum leaf and brinjal contain 56 kilo calories of calcium and 42-kilo calories respectively. On the other hand, puishak contains 2.2 grams of protein, while lalshak 5.3 grams. In similar case, arum leaf and brinjal contain 3.9 and 1.8 grams of protein respectively. The chart shows that both puishak and lalshak contain very negligible amount of fat, 0.2 and 0.1 gram respectively. In comparison brinjal contains the highest amount of fat, 2.9 grams, while arum leaf contains 1.5 grams. Moreover, arum leaf contains the highest amount of carbohydrates and it is 6.8 grams per 100 grams. Then comes lalshak, puishak and brinjal respectively. Their respective contains are 5 grams, 4.2 grams and 2.2 grams. From the data, we notice that all the above-mentioned vegetable items do not contain same amount of nutrients. But all of these are rich in food value in their respective areas.
