ROAD MISHAP KILLED 10 PEOPLE IN PABNA
Ali Reza, Staff Reporter, PABNA, August 16 : At least 10 people were killed in a road accident in Pabna yesterday. Ten people died and 13 others were injured when a human hauler skidded off the road and fell into a ditch after a head-on collision with a passenger bus on Natore Road under Sadar Police Station last night.
The deathbodies were identified as Rabin Uddin, 28, his wife Fatema Begum, 22, Ruby Anika, 6, Nargis Chowdhury, 75, and her son Helaluddin, 22, Luna Humayra, 28, Harun, 30, and Bashir, 30. The identity of the rest could not be known immediately. The injured are undergoing treatment at hospitals and clinics in the area.
Pabna Sadar police said the accident occurred when a Natore-bound bus from Pabna collided with a Pabna-bound human hauler from Sathian at about 9:30 pm.
All the victims were the passengers of the human haular. The unidentified two died soon after admission to a local hospital. Of the injured, two succumbed to their injuries on way to Pabna Sadar Hospital, while the rest were admitted to the hospital.
