Our National Flower
Bangladesh has a national flower. Every sovereign country has some logo which represents its national culture, heritage, and natural beauty. So it the case with Bangladesh. The national flower of Bangladesh is ‘shapla’, which is one kind of lily. Shapla is also called ‘water-lily’. There are different kinds of ‘shapla’. In Bangladesh, there are mainly two colours of ‘shapla’ – pink and white. The national flower of Bangladesh is ‘white shapla’. ‘White’ is the symbol of ‘purity’. Bangladesh is a land of rivers and ‘shapla’ grows in water. So the ‘shapla’ which is designated to be the national flower of our country has found its rightful position.
