Paragraph : Global Warming

Global Warming

In recent years, there have been many alarming reports that the world’s temperatures are increasing day by day. This increase in global warming is caused by increased amounts of carbon dioxide around the earth. Most climatologists believe that the greenhouse effect is an important cause of global warming. It is gradual warming of the air that the earth is being heated. This warming is caused by the deforestation, by traffic clogs, jams, rapid growth of the industry, the use of chlorofluorocarbons in packaging and manufacturing commercial products. However, the main culprits for global warming are carbon-dioxide gas, produced by the burning of fossil fuels and forests, and pollutants such as methane and chlorofluorocarbons. Climatologists predict that midway through this country, temperatures may have risen by as much as 4°C. Carbon-di-oxide is gradually increasing in our space. It is a threat to our environment. If the deforestation is not stopped, the lower southern part of Bangladesh may go underwater. We should take the necessary measures for tree plantation. We should save the earth’s wild creatures to save ourselves. Global warming must be stopped at any cost for saving mankind.

In recent years, there have been many alarming reports to the effect that the world’s climate is undergoing a momentous change. All these reports provide strong evidence that the world temperature is increasing day by day. This is called global warming. This increase in global warming is caused by the increasing amounts of carbon dioxide around the earth. Most climatologists believe that the greenhouse effect is the likely cause of that global warming. Climatologists predict that midway through this century, temperature may have risen by as much as 4°C. This could catastrophically reduce mankind’s ability to grow food, destroy or severely damage wildlife and wilderness, rise sea levels and thereby flood coastal areas and farmland. That is the reason why it is a threat to mankind. The alarming news about Bangladesh is that, as a result of the rise of a sea level, southern part of the country may one day go under water. The destruction of forests and other habitats is causing extinction of various plants and animals everyday. If we destroy forests and burn down trees, the effects might eventually endanger us all. Then the weather pattern will change and the world will become much warmer. We can prevent it by planting trees in large numbers as well as by preserving those that were planted before.

One of the biggest problems facing the world is that our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is having a heating on the atmosphere, and this could be very dangerous for human life. Global warming means the increase in the average temperature of the earth's near-surface air and atmosphere. It has been a very important issue all over the world. Many problems could result from global warming. One of the biggest problems is rising sea level. This could result in the flooding of low lying coastal areas and cities such as Egypt, the Netherlands and Bangladesh. Some countries might even disappear completely. Global surface temperature has increased by 0.18 °C during the last century. Temperature increase since the mid 20th century was caused for increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases. These gases are mainly created by various human activities such as fossil fuel burning, deforestation etc. The natural cause is release of methane gas from wet lands. Another major man-made cause of global warming is over population. More people mean more food, and more transports. It also means more CO2, methane etc. because there will be more burning of fossil fuels and more agriculture. The effects of global warming include Arctic shrinkage, Arctic methane release, releases of global carbon, methane release, sea-level rise and so on. It is causing more rainfall and floods in many areas, droughts, extreme climate incidents, and changes in climate patterns. Some regions and sectors are at great risk for this. Low-lying and less-developed countries and areas are at the greatest risk of global warming. Adaptation potential for biological and geophysical (ভূ-পদার্থবিদ্যা ভিত্তিক) systems is estimated to be lower than of human health. In conclusion, if we make small changes now in the way we live, we can avoid huge changes in the future. Scientists, governments and individuals must work together to overcome this threat.
