A Wedding Ceremony
A wedding ceremony is a part and parcel of our social life. We invite our relatives and well-wishers to take part in this ceremony. A gorgeous or simple party is thrown according to financial condition. A wedding ceremony is generally held in a community centre. Those who are not financially solvent arrange this ceremony at home. It is held generally in the afternoon or in the evening. The community centre is decorated with various coloured lights and coloured canopy. Guests attend the ceremony in their beautiful dress and gift for the new couple. The bridal party is received cordially by the bride’s side. The bridegroom and bride are the centres of attraction of a wedding ceremony. The bridegroom wears sherwani and a pagri on his head. The bride wears a gorgeous sari and valuable ornaments. Various rich dishes are served at a wedding ceremony. The songs in the cassette add more pleasure to the ceremony. Sometimes, band parties and dance group are included also. After completion of all formalities, the bride’s side bids farewell to the bride with tearful eyes. The bride also departs shedding tears. Finally, we can say, a wedding ceremony is an occasion of amity, fellow-feeling, relationship, and delight.
