My experience of taking part in some of these pupular  events & festivals in our locality :

A) Eid-ul-Fitr : Eid-ul-Fitr is the biggest celebration of the whole Muslim community all over the world. It is celebrated on the 1st of Shawwal. It’s not just a holiday lasting for 3 or 5days. Infact, It's an immense gift from Almighty Allah for his Muslim Ummah.

On this very day, I woke up early in the morning with grand enthusiasm and excitement in me. I took shower and went to mosque to say my Eid prayer & thanked Allah for granting us strength to fast during the month of Ramadan and blessing us with wonderful gift as Eid. Then we greeted each other by hugging and shaking hands also &  passing blessings and prayers each other. Delicious & special foods were cooked by mother which we enjoyed much. In the afternoon, after wearing traditional outfits we all together visited to our relatives' houses & we did much fun. They also came to my home also & the giggles, chatter filled the house. No had no idea how time flew away.No doubt, that was so far my best Eid I have ever celebrated. I Won't forget it at all.

B) Pahela Baishakh : About 3/4 years ago, I'd celebrated Pahela Baishakh at my native village for the first time ever. As it is the first day of Bengali calendar, this is a public holiday. So my village people were in a festive mood. I saw villagers excitement to start with renewed hopes, dreams, inspirations that day. I woke up early in that morning and after getting freshed I wore punjabi panjams with great colour combination.

C) Amar Ekhushey : Last year I took part in Amar Ekushey or Shahed Day festival under our college. We brought out a procession heading to Shaheed Mina and offered our floral wreaths to our language martyrs. Our college arranged a cultural program & Boimela on this day. The whole programme was so impressive. This was one of the best festivals in my life & I also brought books.
