Air Pollution
Air pollution is one of the major problems these days. Almost all countries become victims of this environmental pollution. This is the act of mixing pollutants into the air which is not fair for living the shell life of human-being and the overall planet's habitat.
Earlier the air we breathe in used to be pure and fresh. But due to increasing industrialization and concentration of poisonous gases in the environment, the air is getting more and more toxic day by day.
Most air pollution is the environment that arises due to energy utilization for doing certain activities. No matter what the purpose of burning fossils is, some unexpected and chemical substances come into our environment. The climate and clean program lists out the fact that burning the fossil e.g. coal release harmful and suffocating chemical elements in the air. Apart from this, there is a high possibility of producing toxic gases. Having gotten a touch on this air pollution, there are some climate changes as well.
With the increase in demand for land, the people started cutting down trees which caused deforestation. That ultimately reduced the filtering capacity of the tree. Which is another reason for air pollution.
Moreover, during the last few decades, the number of fossil fuel burning vehicles increased rapidly which increased the number of pollutants in the air.
Its causes include the burning of fossil fuel and firewood, smoke released from factories, volcanic eruptions, forest fires, bombardment, asteroids, CFCs, carbon oxides, and many more. There are some other air pollutants like industrial waste, agricultural waste, power plants, thermal nuclear plants, etc.
The greenhouse effect is also the cause of air pollution because air pollution produces the gases that the greenhouse involves. Besides, it increases the temperature of the earth's surface so much that the polar caps are melting and most of the UV rays are easily penetrating the surface of the earth.
Air pollution has many bad effects on the health of people. It is the cause of many skins and respiratory disorders in human beings. Also, it causes heart disease too. Air pollution causes asthma, bronchitis, and many other diseases. It increases the rate of ageing of lungs, decreases lung function, damages cells in the respiratory system.
Although the level of air pollution has reached a critical point. But, there are still ways by which we can reduce the number of air pollutants from the air like reforestation, strict policy for industries related to the filter of gases, use of eco-friendly fuel, etc.
The biggest contribution to the increase in air pollution is fossil fuels which produce nitric and sulphuric oxides. But, humans have taken this problem seriously and are devotedly working to eradicate the problem that they have created.
