Dogs have been one of the earliest and most favourite domestic animals in today’s world. They are the best friends of men because of the friendly and caring nature of both sides. Dogs are highly capable of living with humans.
It has a sharp mind and a strong sense of hearing and smelling things. It also has many qualities like swimming in the water, jumping from anywhere, and a good smelling sense. They are more liked by people because of their faithfulness.
They have four legs of sharp nails, two ears, and two eyes. They have a tongue and mouth containing a group of sharp teeth.
Dogs of different colours as depending upon the breed and the genes they may be white, brown, black, grey, cream. They are of many kinds such as bloodhound, greyhound, german shepherd, Labrador, Rottweiler, bulldog poodle, etc.
Usually, the dog eats fish, meat, milk, rice, bread, etc. They are helpful in reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness and even improve our cardiovascular health. A dog also provides valuable companionship for older adults.
People believe that dogs are brave as they are very protective of their Masters. The dogs are so loyal to their master that nothing can induce them to leave his master. His master might be a poor man or even a beggar but still, the dog will not leave his master from far off. Dogs see their master coming home from work they rush to them and jump on them to show their love. Dogs are honest friends who are always ready to die to save a friend. Dogs always give security to the owner day and night.
Dogs are trained and used by humans for various purposes like herding, guarding and hunting, etc. In ancient times people had a dog accompanying them in hunting and also guarding their houses or territories.
Apart from domesticated dogs, there are also stray dogs found near human houses everywhere in the world. Mostly stray dogs are not taken care of by anyone, they roam on the street and live a miserable life.
Stray dogs are also taken care of at some places as government authorities catch them and vaccinate them as well as sterilize them too.
And there are many countries in the world that also catch stray dogs as a source of meat. Apart from these in South Korea and China, dogs are tamed as a source of meat.
There are few breeds of dogs that have been used by the police as well as the military. Detection dogs can be employed at airports, police stations, borders, and schools. Tracking and Hunting dogs, hounds, terriers, and dachshunds are the most popular types of hunting and tracking dogs.
According to some research, it is said that dogs evolved from wolves some 20,000 years ago.
A bite from a non-vaccinated dog could lead to a severe life-threatening infection called rabies.
As they are good runners, can bark loudly and have a high quality of sense organs. This means they can smell great and their hearing is acute hearing as they can hear any small voice too, and they are capable of seeing at night.
The lifespan of a dog is very small. However, it can live around 12-15 years long which depends on its size such as smaller dogs live a longer life.
A female dog gives birth to a baby and feeds milk. That's why dogs fall under the mammal category. The dog baby is called a puppy or pup and the dog home is called a kennel.
Dogs are really very helpful pet animals. He respects his owner from the heart and can easily guess the owner's presence through their smell. We should take good care of it and keep them in good condition.
