Suppose, you are Saimun. Your younger brother/sister doesn’t know what
COVID-19 is.
Now, write a letter to him/her giving a description of the disease.
Your letter may include how the disease gets transmitted; its symptoms,
remedies and preventive measures.

Dear Kritika,
Hope you’re fine by the grace of the Almighty. I’m fine too. I’ve just
received your letter in which you wanted to know about the COVID-19 in detail.
Well, COVID means ‘Coronavirus Disease’. The disease spread first in China at
the end of 2019, and so, it is termed ‘COVID-19’. It’s a respiratory disease
because it attacks our lungs. It’s like the flu, but much more severe. The
COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from
the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you
also practice respiratory etiquette. The most common symptoms include dry
cough, high fever, tiredness, losing sense of smell and taste; and less common
symptoms are diarrhoea, sore throat, aches, headache, etc. Ultimately, a
COVID-19 patient develops difficulty in breathing, chest pain and loss of
speech. Though the mortality rate is low. It spreads very fast. Actually, it
has no remedy. So, we must take some necessary precautions like washing hands
for at least 20 seconds, wearing mask while going out, using hand sanitiser
and gloves, etc. Besides boosting our immunity, we should eat healthy dies,
drink plenty of liquids and do light exercise. Most importantly, we must
maintain social distancing and avoid social gatherings.
No more today. Give my regards to our parents. Stay home, stay safe.
Your brother
