Write a dialogue between you and your father about the necessity of washing
hands to prevent COVID-19.
Myself : Father, why is everybody talking about washing hands?
Father : Well, washing hands with soap and water can kill the corona virus that
causes COVID-19.
Myself : I see! But we do always wash our hands before eating and after using
the toilet.
Father : Yes! But now, we have to wash our hands more often. Such as, after
coming from outside, touching anything that comes from outside, after coughing
or sneezing, before wearing and after taking off a mask, after serving a sick
person and so on.
Myself : Why do we need to be so careful about washing hands?
Father : Listen, you may touch an object containing coronavirus. Later on, when
touch your face with that hand, the virus will get into your body, and you’ll
get the disease. So, to avoid this kind of infection, you have to wash your
hands often for at least 20 seconds.
Myself : Why 20 seconds, father?
Father : Because it requires 20 seconds to kill coronavirus with soap or alcohol-based hand-sanitizer or hand rub.
Myself : That means I can use hand-sanitizer or hand rub if soap and water are
not available.
Father : Right! Remember, you need to scrub your hands thoroughly with soap for
at least 20 seconds and clean your fingernails and in between fingers too. And
then rinse your hands with running clean water. Use hand-sanitizer if soap and
water are not available.
Myself : OK, father. I’ll wash my hands regularly and thoroughly.
Father : Good girl!
