I been scarred and battered.
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has frizz me
Sun has baked me.
Looks like between ‘em they done
Tried to make me Stop laughin’. stop lovin’. stop livin’-
But I don’t care!
I’m still here!
হয়েছি বিক্ষত ভেঙেছে এ মন
বৈরী বাতাসে টুটে আশার স্বপন
জবুথবু করে তোলে শীতের তুষার
ক্ষরতাপে পুড়েছি মানিনি’ক হার
শীত-তাপে জেরবার করে তনুমন
চেষ্টা সদা যেন মোর
মিলায় হাসি, ফুরায় প্রেম, হারায় জীবন
এসবে পরোয়া করিনা!
আমিতো বেশ আছি!
The Theme : The poem implies that we should persist, even in the most adverse of time. We also should not let ourselves be put down by our misfortunes. Because all problems will be solved if we keep fighting. The poem focuses on positive ideas, such as the simple fact that we are alive.
(কবিতাটির প্রতিপাদ্য হলো আমাদের উচিত চরম প্রতিকুল সময়েও অবিচল থাকা। আমাদের দুর্ভাগ্য যেন আমাদেরকে দমিয়ে না দেয়। কেননা আমরা যদি লড়াই চালিয়ে যাই তাহলে সকল সমস্যার সমাধান হয়ে যাবে। কবিতায় ইতিবাচক ধ্যান-ধারণা প্রতিফলিত হয়েছে, যেমন- সবচেয়ে সাধারণ বাস্তবতা হলো আমরা বেঁচে আছি।
