Traffic Police
M. M. How
Walk the people, ply the vehicles
Keeps the traffic easy.
Traffic police never tires
Stands always busy!
Be it sunny, be it rainy
Be it calamity.
Continues duty session
That’s the reality!
Hardly cares self comfort
Never demands boon.
Solely desires safer traffic
Such a noble goon!
লোক হেঁটে যায়, যান ছুটে যায়
চলে সব নির্বিঘ্নে।
ক্লান্তিবিহীন ট্রাফিক পুলিশ
সদাই কর্মমগ্ন!
হোক না রৌদ্র কিংবা বর্ষা
বৈদ-দুর্বিপাক।
দায়িত্বে তার নেইকো বিরাম
বাস্তবতার ডাক!
কদাচ ভাবেন আপন আয়েশ
দাবির বেলায় ফাঁকা।
চাওয়া শুধুই অবাধ সড়ক
এমন মহান বোকা!
The Theme : The poem depicts the challenges and dedication of the traffic police. A traffic policeman has to undergo tough Situation and rough weather to accomplish his duty. He dedicates himself for his sacred service to the civilians sacrificing his own comfort and privilege.
(কবিতাটি ট্রাফিক পুলিশের চ্যালেঞ্জ ও আত্মনিয়োগ চিত্রিত করছে। ট্রাফিক পুলিশকে তার দায়িত্ব পালনে অনেক মন্দ পরিস্থিতি ও খারাপ আবহাওয়ার মুখোমুখি হতে হয়। তিনি তাঁর নিজের আরাম-আয়েশ বিসর্জন দিয়ে জনগণের সেবায় নিজেকে উৎসর্গ করেছেন।)
