Man is the architect of his own fate.
মানুষ তার নিজের ভাগ্যের স্থপতি।
Man is the maker of his own life.
মানুষই তার নিজের জীবনের স্রষ্টা।
Main idea : Man can make his fortune by himself. Fortune is not destined but formed by man himself.
Amplification : Man is the best creation of God. He has endowed man with potentialities and rationality. Human life is full of complexities and uncertainties. Man lives in the ocean of hardship. He can turn difficulties on his way to achieving success through his power and acumen. Sometimes, we think that our life on earth is decided by fate. But this is a wrong idea. A man's future depends on his own self. We fail in life if we waste our potential and energy. It will bring disgrace to our life. Our abilities and energy gets rusted and hence become useless. Therefore, we have to make proper use of our time and opportunities. We should follow the course of life with patience and perseverance. Our effort and endeavor bring success. Even the poor and handicapped people can bring success in life if they work with dogged effort and tenacity of will. In fact, it is our energy and potential that encourages us to shine in life. Thus, man himself is the maker of his fortune. Fortune can't make a man but man makes his fortune.
বঙ্গানুবাদ
মুলভাব : মানুষ নিজে তার ভাগ্য গড়তে পারে। ভাগ্য পূর্বনির্ধারিত নয় কিন্তু মানুষের নিজের দ্বারা গঠিত।
ভাবসম্প্রসারণ : মানুষ ঈশ্বরের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ সৃষ্টি। তিনি মানুষকে সুপ্তশক্তি ও বিচারবুদ্ধিসম্পন্ন গুণে বিভূষিত করেছেন। মানবজীবন জটিলতা ও অনিশ্চয়তায় পরিপূর্ণ। মানুষ দুর্ভোগের সমুদ্রে বাস করে। মানুষ তার সাফল্য লাভের পথে তার শক্তি ও তীক্ষ্ণ বিচারবুদ্ধির মাধ্যমে তার জটিলতাকে বদলাতে পারে। অনেক সময় আমরা ভাবি যে পৃথিবীতে আমাদের জীবন ভাগ্য দ্বারা নির্ধারিত। কিন্তু এটি একটি ভুল ধারণা। একজন মানুষের ভবিষ্যৎ তার নিজের ওপর নির্ভরশীল। আমরা জীবনে ব্যর্থ হই যদি আমরা আমাদের কর্মশক্তি ও শক্তিকে নষ্ট করি। এটি আমাদের জীবনে কলঙ্ক নিয়ে আসে। আমাদের সামর্থ ও শক্তি মরিচা ধরে এবং তাই এটি অকেজো হয়ে যায়। অতএব আমাদের সময় ও সুযোগকে যথার্থ ব্যবহার করতে হবে। আমাদের ধৈর্য ও অধ্যবসায়ের সাথে জীবনের গতিকে অনুসরণ করা উচিত। আমাদের চেষ্টা ও উদ্যম সাফল্য আনে। এমনকি দরিদ্র ও প্রতিবন্ধী লোকেরাও জীবনে সাফল্য লাভ করতে পারে যদি তারা একগুয়ে চেষ্টা ও ইচ্ছার জিদের সাহায্যে কাজ করে। বস্তুত এটি আমাদের বল ও কর্মশক্তি যা জীবনে সাফল্য লাভ করতে আমাদেরকে উৎসাহিত করে। সুতরাং মানুষ নিজেই তার ভাগ্যের স্রষ্টা। ভাগ্য মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করতে পারে না কিন্তু মানুষ তার ভাগ্যকে সৃষ্টি করে।
