Main idea : Man's success ensues if he becomes slow and stead in his mission of work.
Amplification : Human beings have some targets to shine in life. They have to form some guidelines and principles to reach his target. They have to be determined and resolute in his decisions. They mustn't be rash and hasty. Rashness and hastiness culminate in despair and failure. Thus, they have to be calculated, deliberate and ingenious in their mission of life. They should proceed to any work in a slow and steady manner until success comes. Hastiness or promptness may mar our calculated aims and desires. But, steadiness fortifies a man with sincere wits to advance to any work. A man becomes reliable and trustworthy if he is slow and steady. Thus, we should start any work with undivided aim. We should not be wavering in our attempt. We must shun laziness and lethargy. We must take up one thing at a time and peruse it steadily with undivided attention. The famous story of the Hare and the Tortoise teach us the necessary lesson. Thus, we can affirm that steadiness with undivided attention brings us success in life.

মূলভাব : মানুষের সাফল্য আসন্ন যদি সে তার বিশেষ কার্যে ধীর ও স্থির হয়।
ভাবসম্প্রসারণ : জীবনে উন্নতি করতে মানবজাতির কিছু লক্ষ্যবস্তু আছে। তার লক্ষ্যে পৌঁছাতে তাদের কিছু নির্দেশাবলি ও নীতিমালা গঠন করতে হয়। তাদের দৃঢ়প্রতিজ্ঞ হতে হবে এবং তার সিদ্ধান্তে অটল থাকতে হবে। তারা অবশ্যই হঠকারী ও অবিবেচক হবেন না। হটকারিতা ও ত্বরা হতাশা ও ব্যর্থতার শেষ সীমায় পৌঁছায়। সুতরাং জীবনের বিশেষ কার্যে তাদের গণনালব্ধ, সুবিবেচক ও নিপুণ হতে হবে। সাফল্য না আসা পর্যন্ত যেকোনো কাজে তাদের ধীর ও স্থিরভাবে অগ্রসর হওয়া উচিত। হঠকারিতা বা ক্ষিপ্রতা আমাদের পূর্বনির্ধারিত রক্ষা ও আকাঙ্ক্ষা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হতে পারে। কিন্তু দৃঢ়তা একজন মানুষকে অকপট বুদ্ধির সাহায্যে যেকোনো কাজে এগিয়ে যেতে সুরক্ষিত করে। একজন মানুষ বিশ্বস্ত ও বিশ্বাসভাজন হয় যদি তিনি ধীর ও স্থির হন। সুতরাং আমাদের অবিচ্ছিন্ন লক্ষ্য নিয়ে যেকোনো কাজ শুরু করা উচিত। আমরা অবশ্যই অলসতা ও জড়তা পরিহার করবো। আমরা অবশ্যই এক একবার একটি জিনিস হাতে নিব এবং এটি অবিচ্ছিন্ন মনোযোগের সাথে দৃঢ়ভাবে পরীক্ষা করবো। খরগোশ ও কচ্ছপের বিখ্যাত গল্পটি আমাদেরকে প্রয়োজনীয় পাঠ শিক্ষা দেয়। সুতরাং আমরা দৃঢ়তার সঙ্গে বলতে পারি যে অবিচ্ছিন্ন মনোযোগের সাথে স্থিরচিত্ততা আমাদের জীবনে সফলতা আনে।
