সুবিধা হারালে আর পাবে না।
উপযুক্ত সময়েই কার্যাদি করা হয়।
Main idea : We should make good use of any chance or opportunity. We must not lose any opportunity.
Amplification : Hay is a grass plant. It is cut and dried. It is used as food for cattle and horses. Farmers have to take the duration of sunshine to prepare hay for use. Sunshine may be short-lived. It may not last long. The weather may turn bad. In that case, the hay may get rotten and hence useless. Farmers may face difficulty. So, the farmers have to be very alert and prompt in preparing hay.
Human life is uncertain. It is full of troubles and difficulties. Nothing is easy and simple. We don't always get available means to complete our work. We don't know what will happen to us even tomorrow. Opportunities are usually rare for us. They don't come frequently to us. Thus, we have to utilize the opportunity that we get. We should not waste any chance. We may not get chance furthermore. Losing of an opportunity may bring suffering for us. We should take full advantage of any opportunity that may come to us. Therefore, we must not let any opportunity slip, but make prompt and full use of it whenever it comes.
বঙ্গানুবাদ
মূলভাব : আমাদের যেকোনো সম্ভাবনা ও সুযোগের সদ্ব্যবহার করা উচিত। আমরা অবশ্যই কোনো সুযোগ হারাবো না।
ভাবসম্প্রসারণ : খড় একটি ভুণ উদ্ভিদ। এটি কেটে শুকানো হয়। এটি গবাদি পশু ও ঘোড়ার খাদ্য হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা হয়। খড়কে ব্যবহারের উপযোগী করতে কৃষকদের সূর্যালোকের স্থিতিকালকে গ্রহণ করতে হবে। সূর্যালোক স্বল্পস্থায়ী হতে পারে। এটি দীর্ঘসময় স্থায়ী নাও হতে পারে। আবহাওয়া খারাপ রূপ ধারণ করতে পারে, সেক্ষেত্রে খড় পচে ব্যবহারের অনুপযোগী হতে পারে। কৃষকেরা অসুবিধার সম্মুখীন হতে পারে। তাই কৃষকদের খড় প্রস্তুতির ব্যাপারে খুব সতর্ক ও তৎপর হতে হবে।
মানবজীবন অনিশ্চিত। এটি কষ্ট ও অসুবিধায় পরিপূর্ণ। কোনো কিছুই সহজ সরল নয়। আমরা আমাদের কাজকে সম্পূর্ণ করতে সবসময় গ্রহণযোগ্য উপায় পাই না। এমনকি আগামীকাল আমাদের কী ঘটবে তাও আমরা জানি না। সুযোগ সচরাচর আমাদের জন্য বিরল। তারা বারবার আমাদের কাছে আসে না। সুতরাং আমাদের কোনো সুযোগকে নষ্ট করা উচিত নয়। অধিকন্তু আমরা সুযোগ নাও পেতে পারি। সুযোগ হারিয়ে আমাদের জন্য দুর্ভোগ বয়ে আনতে পারে। আমাদের উচিত যেকোনো সুযোগের পুরোপুরি সুবিধা গ্রহণ করা যা আমাদের কাছে আসতে পারে। অতএব আমরা অবশ্যই কোনো সুযোগকে ফসকে যেতে দেব না, কিন্তু যখনই এটি আসবে, তখনই এর ত্বরিত ও পূর্ণ ব্যবহার করবো।

The proverb means that we must not let any opportunity slip. We must make prompt and full use of it whenever it comes. Moreover, our life is uncertain. Who knows what may happen to us even tomorrow? So, if we miss an opportunity today, we may not be able to avail ourselves tomorrow at all.
On the other hand, opportunities do not always come. If we miss one opportunity, we may miss it forever and suffer in consequences. Therefore, we must always take full and prompt advantage of any opportunity that may come to our lives.
