The Theme : ‘Life is not a bed of roses’ is the central theme of the above poem. The poem suggests that life is full of challenges. We may comfort good and bad experiences. In life, joy and sorrow, failure and success, hope and despair, dispute and agreement, fighting and yielding come by turn. To make life enjoyable and meaningful, we should be ready to overcome all the obstacles.
(কবিতাটির মূলভাব “জীবন পুষ্পশয্যা নহে”। কবিতাটি জানায় যে, জীবন নানা রকম চ্যালেঞ্জে পরিপূর্ণ। আমরা ভালো এবং মন্দ উভয় ধরনের অভিজ্ঞতার মুখোমুখি হতে পারি। জীবনে আনন্দ ও দুঃখ ব্যর্থতা ও সফলতা আশা ও নিরাশা, বিবাদ ও মীমাংশা, যুদ্ধ ও সৃষ্টি, ইত্যাদি পালাক্রমে আসে। জীবনকে উপভোগ ও অর্থবহ করার জন্য আমাদের উচিত সকল বাধাকে জয় করার জন্য তৈরি থাকা।)
