Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
When a nation is really facing a crisis, one or another great man appears on
the earth for the purpose of salvation of that nation.
The best Bengali of the millennium; Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the
Architect of the Territory of Independent Sovereign Bangladesh.
From a young age, Sheikh Mujib was infinitely brave and very tender-hearted.
Along with that, there was a mountain of justice in his chest. Therefore, he could not bear the injustice, injustice, oppression and torture going on in society as a child. He protested wherever he saw it. In this way, when he grew up, he got involved in student politics.
After the partition of India in 1947, he could not accept the oppression and
injustice of the then West Pakistani government on the people of East
Pakistan. He started one movement after another.
It started after the language movement in 1952. After the independence of
Pakistan, the Muslim League became a pocket organization. The United Front was
formed on 4 December 1953 under the leadership of Sher-e-Bangla, Bahani and
Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy with the 1954 elections in mind. Bangabandhu
participated in this election for the first time and was elected from
Gopalganj constituency.
On 5 February 1966, a national conference of anti-Ayub political parties was held in Pakistan. In this conference, Bangabandhu raised a historic six-point
demand for the Bengali Nation Charter.
In January 1968, the government of Pakistan filed a historic Agartala case against some serving and former members of the army and senior government officials, accusing Awami League chief Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the main accused. The council gave a public reception to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the grounds of the racecourse. The then-student leader, Dakshur VP Tofail
Ahmed conferred the title of 'Bangabandhu' on him in the presence of lakhs of people.
After that, the Awami League won the national elections of 1970 with an
absolute majority but they were not allowed to sit on the throne.
On March 25, 1971, Pakistani forces started inhumane torture on innocent people all over the country including Dhaka. In the early hours of March 26,
Bangabandhu declared independence before his arrest. The Mujbnagar government
was formed on 10 April 1971 at Amrakan in Bhaberpara village under Baidyanath
Tala in Maherpur, Kushtia. Performs the duties of the President.
After a long 9-month war, we gained independence in exchange for the honour of
30 lakh martyrs and two lakh mothers and sisters. On 16 December 1971, 93,000
Pakistani invaders surrendered on the racecourse grounds. Mujibur Rahman.
After gaining independence on 16 December 1971, the Mujibnagar Government came to power in Dhaka on 22 December. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman returned home on 10 December 1972. On 15 August 1975, some misguided members of the army killed Bangabandhu and his family at his residence at Dhanmondi No. 32. Through this, a blackened chapter in the
history of Bengal was added.
